Listed below are optional assessments that may be available for your child.

Preliminary Scholastic Achievement Test (PSAT)

Grades: 8-9 and 10-11
The PSAT is a timed multiple-choice, short answer and student produced response items test.  This provides feedback on strengths and weaknesses on skills necessary for college study and promotes a college-bound culture.

Scholastic Achievement Test (SAT)
Grades: 10-11
Measures verbal and mathematical reasoning skills to be academically successful in college.  It is a timed multiple-choice questions and optional short essay writing assessment which is used for College-University admission and/or waiving state testing requirements.

American College Testing (ACT)
Grades:
10-11
The ACT is a timed multiple-choice questions and optional short essay writing assessment which measures verbal and mathematical reasoning skills to be academically successful in college which is used for College-University admission and/or waiving state testing requirements.

Advanced Placement Tests (AP)

Grades: Optional end of AP class
This timed multiple-choice, short answer and extended response items test determines proficiency following an AP course.  Students may earn credit or advanced standing at select colleges and universities.
