District Communication

The Community Input Survey: Later Start Time, Budget Priorities, and Technology Devices is now available. The survey will be open for responses until Monday, February 26, concluding at 3 pm.

This survey will gather information on three district aspects that directly impact our students, staff, and overall educational environment:

  • Two Bell Schedule: We are currently exploring the possibility of implementing a two-bell schedule and considering later start times for secondary students. Your insights on potential changes will play a crucial role in shaping the future structure of our school day.

  • Budget Priorities: As we plan for the future, it is essential to align our budget priorities with the needs and preferences of our school community. Sequim School District is facing challenging budgetary decisions and will be making reductions in the coming months. Your input will advise and help to prioritize resources effectively.

  • Student Laptops: Our student laptops have reached the end of their useful life, and we are eager to understand your preferences and priorities regarding student technology use. Your feedback will guide us in making informed decisions about the technology resources available to our students. Prior laptop purchases were made with federal grant funds are no longer available.

Your participation in this survey is important to ensure that future decisions incorporate collective values and aspirations of our school community. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas as we work together to create an environment that provides academic excellence and overall well-being.
