Teaching & Learning serves schools and our district by providing
timely and accurate data and support for the purpose of improving
student achievement. We also manage state and district assessments, as
well as data requests from community partners and other outside
agencies.
Assessments are given during pre-determined windows throughout the
school year to monitor student progress. District and statewide
assessments help ensure all public school students, no matter where they
go to school, receive a quality education. By evaluating data,
districts and schools decide which teaching practices and curricula best
support student understanding of standards. Assessment results also
provide families valuable information about how well their child is
