NEW! 2020 HB 2548 Schools may now offer benefits, as long as they do not fall under the SEBB Program’s authority through payroll deduction beginning 2021. Benefits may be paid by the employee, the employer, or both. Examples of optional benefits:

•Pet insurance, homeowner, automobile, accident only, specified disease, and other fixed payment benefit insurance, are paid by employees through payroll deductions.

•Voluntary plans can NO LONGER be pre taxed

STEPS PROGRAM FOR WASHINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICTS
In order to address the guidelines from the School Employee Benefits Board we have worked to create a NEW custom program for Sequim School District.

Technology: Customizable Mobile Friendly APP for your school district that includes helpful links to SEBB, your Benefits/HR departments, optional benefits enrollment and texting capability

Benefits:  
Health insurance pays doctors and hospitals. Aflac helps pay the bills health insurance doesn’t cover.  The following insurance plans are available during your enrollment:

Group Accident Insurance helps pay costs that arise from covered accidents such as fractures, dislocations and lacerations. This plan provides 24-hour coverage, which means you’re covered at home and at work.
Group Critical Illness Insurance helps pay the expected and unexpected expenses that arise from diagnosis of a covered critical illness such as cancer (internal or invasive), heart attack, stroke, end-stage renal failure or a major organ transplant. This plan includes a $50 Health Screening Benefit for the covered employee and spouse only.
Group Hospital Indemnity Insurance helps pay the costs associated with a covered hospital stay, including benefits for hospital confinement, hospital admission and hospital intensive care. The plan also includes a $50 Health Screening Benefit for each covered insured.
Additional Free Services with purchase of Aflac policy:
College Assistance Program helping plan and pay for college can be difficult, stressful and confusing process for a family. Helps you navigate the process from admissions, high school planning to financial aid and applications.
Telephonic EAP 24/7 phone access to licensed, professional counselors, prepared to help with your personal situation.
Medical Bill Saver access to skilled negotiators who will work to reduce medical and dental bills over $400.
