Design Advisory Committee

The Sequim School District is seeking staff, parents/guardians, community members, and students to serve on a Design Advisory Committee for the bond construction projects. Community engagement is a priority for the District, and this committee will play an important role in creating a vision for the bond construction projects.

The Design Advisory Committee will be comprised of a broad-based group of up to 25 members representing various District stakeholders. The Committee will be charged with (1) researching best practices for elementary school facilities, high school facilities, athletic facilities, secure entrances at schools, and transportation/traffic flow; (2) soliciting community input; (3) sharing their own expertise; and (4) reviewing and providing feedback on design ideas.

Committee members must be ready to commit to attending regularly scheduled meetings (dates and times below) and abiding by Relational and Operational Agreements (see below).

  • Speak from your own experience, not for others.

Operational Community Agreements

  • Start and end on time.
  • Respectful of others' time, efforts, and responsibilities.
  • There are no "silly" questions especially with varying levels of prior knowledge.
  • Cell phones- be mindful of using and muting.
